Well, I said I would find a way to make an inexpensive dual deploy device for single
payload rockets.

It is made from what else but PVC. It is comprised of 3/4" PVC end-caps, 1.5" of 3/4"
PVC pipe, three 250lbs swivels, steel leader material(bicycle brake cable works
well  and pop-rivets with aluminum washers.

The shortest practical length of steel cable is used and a loop is formed in the
middle of the cable for attaching one of the swivels. A steel crimp is used to
enclose the loop holding the swivel. Loops are also made in each end of the steel
leader for attaching to the PVC end-caps.

A 1.5" length of 3/4" PVC pipe is glued into one cap. 3/16" holes are drilled into each
cap and two of the swivels are attached to each cap using 3/16" X 1/2" pop-rivets
with a 3/16" aluminum washer (used inside each cap).

A small hole is drilled into the end of the cap, (w/o the pipe attached) for passing
shooters wire for the release charge.

The parachute and shroud lines are bundled into a Nomex blanket or an ironing
board fabric blanket and the steel leader is wrapped around the bundle and both
caps are pressed together, enclosing the release charge while holding the bundle
snugly.

The top swivel located in the middle of the steel leader wire is attached to the quick
link that is attached to the ends of the parachute shroud lines.

The deployment charge leads are connected to the main deployment firing circuit.
